If you use World of Transmog mod by Hakim3i, you will notice that certain armours alpha or beta variants do not have separate models and instead their textures are recoloured in the game itself. For example underwear α's default variant has red where you normally can change the colour on the second variant.
Install:
Extract the pl folder and paste it into your monster hunter worlds 'nativePC' folder, should be something similar to this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter\nativePC
Uninstall:
Go to your MHW steam directory and from nativePC/pl/f_equip delete the pl500_0000 folder and the textures should return to normal.
