Scenario for the base game civilizations (plus Aztecs). Aztec DLC required. All civs and city-states spawn at their historical starting locations, with a preplaced capital city. City-states have been preselected for better game balance. Please select the "TSL Earth Vanilla Only" map size with this map to play with all of the available civs. 

(Supports up to 19 civs and 20 city-states)

Expanded version of the Firaxis true start location Earth map. Now with support for the Rise and Fall expansion, as well as DLC content. Adds more resources and natural wonders, and most of the map has been redrawn to accommodate all of the available civilizations in the game.

Note: This map is the same size as the Firaxis Earth Map, 84x54, the map size options only control the number of players available in a game, the map itself remains the same size

TSL Earth

The default version for the base game. Supports DLC content, but not required. All civs and city-states spawn at their historical starting locations. City states are chosen at random. Select the "TSL Earth" map size with this map to play with all of the available civs.

TSL Earth Rise and Fall

Supports the Rise and Fall expansion in addition to the base game and DLC content. No DLC content required. All civs and city-states spawn at their historical starting locations. City states are chosen at random. Select the "TSL Earth Rise and Fall" map size with this map to play with all of the available civs.

TSL Earth (Scenario)

Scenario for the base game and DLC content. ALL DLC content (except Vikings DLC) required. All civs and city-states spawn at their historical starting locations, with a preplaced capital city (to prevent the AI from wandering around the map during the first turns). City-states have been preselected for better game balance. Select the "TSL Earth"map size with this map to play with all of the available civs.

TSL Earth (Rise and Fall Scenario)

Scenario for the base game and DLC content as well as the Rise and Fall expansion. ALL DLC content (except Vikings DLC) required. TSL Earth (Rise and Fall + Viking DLC Scenario)

Adds the Viking DLC city-states to the Rise and Fall Scenario: Antananarivo, Armagh, Auckland, Granada (next to Carthage in North Africa), Muscat and Palenque (at the Panama canal). ALL DLC content required. Please select the "TSL Earth Maximum" map size with this map to play with all of the available civs.

TSL Earth (Vanilla Scenario)

TSL Earth Extra Civs

The Rise and Fall scenario with the addition of community civs. Requires the following mods:

JFD's Mali. Inca (Rise and Fall). Maya (Rise and Fall). Morocco (Rise and Fall).Shoshone (Rise and Fall). Select the "TSL Earth Extra Civs" map size with this map to play with all of the available civs.

The default distance between cities has been reduced from 3 tiles to 2 tiles. This can be changed in the TSLEE_Rules.sql file, but it will break the scenarios.

Capital cities and city-states can not be acquired through loyalty when using Rise and Fall, they are permanently loyal and must be conquered. This is to allow players in small regions like Europe and the Middle East to survive without losing their capitals to low loyalty in the first 10 turns. If you wish to turn this feature off, open the following files from the mod folder in a text editor and delete their contents, but not the files themselves: LoyalCapitals_Modifiers.sql, LoyalCapitals_PalaceChanges.xml

You need to use a mod that increases the total number of pantheons, like Religion Expanded, if you play with more than 24 players, or you may run out of pantheons to choose from and be unable to continue your game

Maps do not support multiple leaders for one civilization at this time. If two leaders for the same civ are selected in one game, randomly or otherwise, only the first one on the list will appear in-game

Resource rules have been updated to allow for improvements to be built on resources regardless of the terrain or feature, primarily to assist the AI. Resources were also updated to appear on a wider variety of terrain and features to make it easier to make changes in the worldbuilder. These rule changes will affect your other games if you leave this mod enabled
