Overview

16 players in Astera, is this an Monster Hunter World MMO???

Description

This mod is for those that wish they can walk around in Astera with their friends instead of being confined in the gathering hub. All the essential NPCs are there so enjoy the immersive but not so immersive Gathering Astera mod. Just to be clear, this replaces the gathering hub so you won't be able to go up there anymore. The Hub ladies are all there, I just didn't add the felynes which isn't a biggy.

FAQ

Q: Why isn't the The Seeker, Huntsman, Admiral, Tracker, etc there?

A: I'm not too sure, I've set them up to show up but seems like it's decided elsewhere. I might look into it in the future. I don't know yet.

Q: Where is Poogie????? I want him so bad!!!!!

A: Poor poogie is lost in the exe. I can't find him or figure out how to place him in the gathering hub yet. Once I figure it out I'll update this mod and add a seperate mod that will place him in the gathering hub as well.

Q: What's up with the lifts? Sometimes I go to single player Astera.

A: The lifts seem to be controlled through the exe or at least I haven't figure that part out yet. I might come back to it, I don't know yet. I can remove the lifts but I'd rather not as they still serve a purpose. If you use the lift to go to the gathering hub it will take you to the Canteen in the "Gathering Astera"

Q: Can you add a different shortcut then?

A: Um, no I tried. For some reason it just doesn't let me and I'm sure it has to do with the stage itself.

Q: What happened to the expedition exits?

A: I'm not sure how to get them back, they seem to be tied to the exe.

Q: Can't I get event quest from NPCs in Gathering Astera?

A: Uh, no. All that stuff has to be done in Astera. It's probably the same reason why I can't bring Poogie.

Q: Can I use this mod online?

A: Uh, yeah. lol. Yes you can. A bit of caution though, every once in a while I did experience crash to desktop but that was just in the Gathering Astera. The CTD relates to users who don't have the mod traveling to and from their home or to the tradeyard. It will be a long time till I find a fix for it.

Q: What about people that don't have this mod?

A: What's really cool is they don't need it, it's all client side. What ends up happening is they can see you below but you see them falling into oblivion. When you open up your map they are moving around like they are supposed to. Their palicos run to towards the bridge to get back up to the Gathering Hub ship.

Q: Do I have to start from the bottom like I do in Astera?

A: No you don't. I've added just one spawn point that makes you start in the Canteen. I think it makes more sense that way.

Compatibility

Any mods that have to do with the st302 folder will conflict with this mod. Except maybe my future mods...

Installation

To install the mod, you need to navigate to your Steam directory to Monster Hunter World. Commonly like...

[steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World]

Just drop the nativePC folder and load up Monster Hunter World.

Uninstall

To Uninstall the mod you need to remove the folder(s)...
