Introduction
Gabi Rae Ava Cori Elsa
A compilation of all the SkyRem mods in one plugin.
Gabi (Genders Are Boringly Indistinct): Gender selection now has an impact on gameplay.
Rae (Race Abilities Enhanced): Race abilities overhauled to be more relevant through the entire game.
Ava (Attribute Value Application): Attributes such as Strength, Intelligence, Agility, and 7 others affect your character's progress.
Cori (Class Overhaul Re-Imagined): New approach to Class systems. Grow and be rewarded for playing as your class and specialize as you go.
Elsa (Early Life Skill Adjustment): Gain a skill boost based on your character's background.
Details
Base Changes:
Males raise skill levels slightly faster, while Females raise character levels slightly faster.
A minor (Race lore-friendly) Gender bonus is applied.
Skills begin at 1 prior to any bonuses.
Starting stats (HMS, regeneration rates, carry weight, etc.) are tweaked based on Race.
HMS at level up are raised by 5 instead of 10.
Once-a-day powers are removed (or converted to passives).
Starting Spells are removed, with the exception of Altmer (Fury), Breton (Summon Familiar), Dunmer (Flames), and Imperials (Healing).
Race still determines your Skill bonus. While the bonuses are smaller, you also learn these skills faster.
You receive a one time +10 to a single skill you select based on your background.
Attributes (located under AVA in the MCM) impact three characteristics each, which you can customize.
Classes become available as you play and meet the requirements. You then specialize your class and choose the abilities you want.
The vast majority of abilities scale, keeping them relevant throughout the game (without becoming over powered).
Your spell knowledge is limited by your intelligence. The higher your intelligence, the more spells you can learn.
Still in development: Alignment - whether you are good or evil, prefer lawfulness over chaos, your choices determine your options.
Playing with Grace:
Start a new game.
Choose your background (via Pop-up Menu) to gain a one time +10 bonus to a single skill.
Use the AVA MCM to distribute and save your Attributes.
Play.
At level 10 and appropriate skills at level 30, choose an Archetype and a generic ability.
Play some more.
At level 20 and appropriate skills at level 45, choose a Class and a more specialized ability.
Play some more.
At level 30 and appropriate skills at level 60, choose another, more specialized ability.
Play some more.
At level 40 and appropriate skills at level 75, Specialize your class and gain a specialized ability.
Play some more.
At level 50 and appropriate skills at level 90, Master your specialization by gaining your specialization's Power.
This allows you to completely customize your character, from their attributes to your class specialization to your abilities.
At my last attempt at calculating, there are over 500,000 different end results (my permutation skills are a little rusty, but I am confident with this number).
While some builds may be more difficult to achieve (an Orcish Blacksmith turned Master Sorcerer, or a Bosmer Hunter turned Master Paladin), you are able to develop your character anyway you want.
Warning: If you want hack & slash and magic spamming coupled with jack-of-all-trades... this is not for you. If you prefer true character development coupled with strategy on the other hand...
Notes
Known "Issues":
Some ability effects will not show on the card due to the way they were implemented (example: Lucid abilities)
Reverent Soldier: Unequipped weapons show the Master level adjustment, not the Expert level. It is correct upon equipping.
To Do:
Tweak/improve visuals and sounds - these are by far not my forte.
Build on Alignment concept, preferably without altering Vanilla records.
Continue testing for Balance.
SkyRem
My modding focus is creating roleplay elements. Grace does this via Character Creation and Development.
SkyRem (Skyrim Roleplaying Enhancment Mods) is and will continue to be collections of such mods intended to work together, but can be used individually.
Philosophy:
Enhance the Roleplay experience.
Maximize compatibility with mods that do not have the same scope.
Compatibility
As with my other SkyRem mods, one of my goals is to ensure maximum compatibility.
Most everything in Grace has been made from "scratch" in order to minimize (eliminate) conflicts with other mods.
Exceptions:
Mods that alter Race Records: This was necessary to ensure NPCs get the same benefits/penalties as the player.
MQ101 has a minor tweak that prevents starting spells from being added. Overwriting this is in no way game-breaking.
A speed fix is incorporated simply due to the nature of the Agility attribute. Additional speed fix mods are not needed.
