If anyone is still having difficulty with the adoptable version:

If you have Hearthfire, I think you need to use v1.0 of the main file. I have Hearthfire and tried with v1.2 and couldn't get any adoption dialogue, no matter what else I tried.

Assuming you do have the Heartfire DLC, install:

1. Heartfire Multiple Adoptions

2. Follower Girl Nessa (v1.0)

3. Nessa - as an adoptable child patch (install over the main Nessa files. With ModOrganizer, I used the "Merge" method.)

With Hearthfire installed, look at where "Hearthfires.esm" is located in your load order. It was #05 in mine.

Find Nessa in or around Jorvasskar. Standing in front of her, open the console and type: setfactionrank ##004290 1 

(where ## is your Heartfires.esm position in the load order (ie. I typed: set factionrank 05004290 1)

You should now be able to engage in the adoption dialog.
